What Fluoride Does to the Pineal Gland — and How I Healed It

What Fluoride Does to the Pineal Gland, and How I Healed It

An open journal and fountain pen in warm lamplight, evoking a quiet evening of reflection

They are putting a chemical in the water. Not by accident. On purpose, on purpose, every single day, in almost every city in America. And the chemical they chose is an industrial waste product from fertilizer smokestacks.

They tell us it is for our teeth.

I used to believe that too. Then I got sick — sick enough to start asking what the modern world was putting into my body, and what it was doing once it got there. And the answer I found changed the way I understand everything: my health, my intuition, my connection to God, and the quiet calcification of millions of human beings who never thought to ask.

Because there is a gland deep in your brain, the size of a grain of rice, that the ancients called the seat of the soul and the mystics call the third eye. The organ of intuition. Of inner vision. Of dreams, and knowing, and connection to Source. And that gland has a strange appetite: it attracts fluoride. It drinks it in. And over years, fluoride turns it to stone.

The seat of your soul, calcifying one glass of tap water at a time.

That is not a metaphor. That is what the research shows. And I am going to tell you exactly what fluoride is, what it did to me, and how I healed my gland — and with it, my connection.

But first, let me tell you what fluoride actually is — because once you know, you cannot unknow it.

What fluoride actually is

Fluoride is a chemical. It is the ion of fluorine, one of the most reactive elements on the periodic table — so reactive that it is never found free in nature, only locked into compounds. And it is ferocious. Fluorine is used to etch glass. Hydrofluoric acid dissolves bone. This is the family of substance we are talking about when we talk about fluoride.

The fluoride added to public drinking water is not a refined nutrient that fell from a tree. The most common form used in water fluoridation in the United States is fluorosilicic acid — an industrial byproduct of phosphate fertilizer manufacturing, captured from the smokestacks of fertilizer plants, then sold for addition to the water supply. Sodium fluoride, the other form you will meet, is the one that used to be famous as a rat poison and insecticide before it found its calling in toothpaste tubes. Fluoride toothpaste, meanwhile, carries a warning label telling you to call poison control if a child swallows too much. Read your tube. It is right there.

I am not telling you this to frighten you. I am telling you this because it is what fluoride is, and almost no one knows it, because no one is standing in the toothpaste aisle explaining it. They told us this was one of the great public health achievements of the twentieth century. They did not tell us what it actually is. They did not tell us where it comes from. And they definitely did not tell us where it goes once it is in the body. So I will: into bone. Into teeth. And into the pineal gland, where it binds to calcium and builds the hard, calcified deposits that turn a soft little gland into stone.

Sit with that for a moment. The substance they add to the water — the water every pregnant woman drinks, every child drinks, you drink — settles into the exact gland that tradition says connects you to everything beyond this world. They call that coincidence. I stopped calling it coincidence a long time ago.

What the pineal gland means to me

The pineal gland is a small structure deep in the brain that produces melatonin, which governs our sleep and our rhythms. In spiritual traditions, it is associated with the third eye: intuition, inner vision, dreams, and spiritual perception.

I do not draw a wall between those two. The physical and the spiritual meet in this little gland, the way they meet in the rest of us. When I learned that fluoride collects there — that researchers examining human pineal tissue found fluoride deposits in it, the only tissue in the body besides bone and teeth where that happens (you can read the study here) — I did not shrug it off as trivia. I asked the question nobody around me was asking: what does that do to a person’s knowing? To their dreams, their intuition, their sense of being guided?

My illness had made that knowing hard to hear. After heavy metal poisoning from a tetanus shot, the diagnoses stacked up: chronic Lyme, Hashimoto’s, celiac disease, chronic fatigue syndrome, POTS, mast cell activation. My body reacted to almost everything. For a time, I could eat only three foods. I spent a decade in brain fog, and I had spent years looking for answers outside myself — until I began asking whether my body was trying to tell me something I had not yet learned how to hear.

I had been marinating in fluoride my whole life, like everyone else. And my intuition — the very thing that fluoride was settling into — had been the quietest voice in my life. That connection was not lost on me.

And then came the morning I want to tell you about. I woke up, and I could not connect. To Source. You know what I mean. That current you feel running through you and through everything else — the sense of being held in something vast, plugged into the whole. One morning it simply wasn’t there. The line was dead.

Don’t be afraid to sound woo woo. It is not woo woo — it is physics. We are all connected to one another and to the universe through energy, and we connect through the pineal gland. It is an antenna. A receiver, pointed at everything. And when the body gets overloaded — metals, fluoride, toxins — guess what happens to that antenna. It breaks off. The signal goes to static.

That is what illness was for me, at its deepest layer. Not just a body that could eat only three foods, not just a decade of fog — a broken antenna. A soul trying to call home on a severed line. No doctor ever asked me about that part. Not one. Not a single one. Because you cannot run a test on a soul, and you cannot bill for a connection to Source. But I will tell you what I know now: it was the part that mattered most. All those years I thought I was fighting for my health. I was fighting for my signal.

Why conventional wisdom got this wrong

People say it to me all the time: “That’s what the liver and kidneys are for.” Poor them. Poor people. They simply don’t get it. The body has its pathways, yes — but the modern toxic load asks more of those pathways than they were designed for. Fluoride in the water. Mold in the walls. Flame retardants in the furniture. The incoming tide never stops.

And here is what almost nobody tells you about fluoride: it is not filtered out and harmlessly removed. It accumulates. In bone. In teeth. In the pineal gland, where researchers have found it bound up in calcified tissue. The gland that governs your sleep, your dreams, your rhythms, your inner sight — quietly accumulating the very substance the modern world insists on adding to the water supply.

I am not interested in waiting around for studies to tell me what my own experience already taught me. That is the whole point of taking the reins. The people who told me not to question fluoride are the same people who told me my liver and kidneys had everything handled, while I sat there unable to eat more than three foods. I stopped outsourcing my health, and I stopped outsourcing my questions, too.

How I healed it

Here is what I know: when the calcified layers started to come out of me, my knowing came back.

For a decade, my mind felt clouded. Then I undertook a 61-day juice fast, and I cleared 15 pounds of mucoid plaque — decades of accumulated waste leaving my body in pieces. And after about ten years of fog, I felt my brain come back online. The clarity arrived like light through a window that had been painted shut.

But the fast was one part of a longer path. Here is how I healed it — and how I stopped it from continuing to poison me.

I filtered EVERYTHING. Not just the water, though absolutely the water. The shower. I looked at labels — every label, on everything that came into my house. And I TOSSED everything that had a whiff of it. Toothpaste with fluoride? Gone. The body cannot clear what you keep pouring in, so I stopped pouring. I detoxified. I fasted. I cleansed. And I stopped listening to the ads paid for by Big Pharma, because the people selling the cure are very often the people selling the problem.

Clean up your diet, your thoughts, your exposure to wifi — and to conventional “wisdom.”

Then, when the incoming tide was stopped, here is the path I walked:

Here is what I know about antennas: you do not fix one by talking to it. You clear the gunk off it, you stop pouring corrosion on it, and you wait for the signal to return. That is what the detox was. That is what the fast was. When the calcified layers started to leave my body, the antenna began to come back — and one day, without ceremony, the connection returned. Source. Right where it had always been, waiting.

And there was something else — an encounter in the Amazon jungle that changed my sense of what was real, and became part of the story I tell in Awakening in an Age of Metals. I did not heal my pineal gland with a protocol. I healed it with a path: detox, discipline, stillness, and a willingness to listen to the voice I had been ignoring all my life.

Healing, for me, was never only about what I could remove. It was about what I could finally hear once the noise began to lift.

Detox, intuition, and taking the reins

Something shifted for me when I realized that the fluoride in the water and the fog in my brain might belong to the same story — and that the same gland where fluoride settles is the gland my intuition lives in.

So I took the reins. I stopped asking conventional wisdom for permission to trust my own body. NEVER outsource your health. Not once, not a little, not for convenience. No one will ever live inside your body but you. I took my life and my body into my own hands, and that decision changed everything.

A small practice for listening inward

If the pineal gland, the third eye, or spiritual awakening symptoms have been on your mind, don’t force an answer. Listen for one. Put on your headphones, give yourself a few quiet minutes, and finish these sentences:

I began writing in 2019 while I was sick, with headphones and frequencies as part of my process, and the writing helped me hear what I had been pushing away. You don’t have to know how the story ends. You just need to put your headphones on and begin.

Don’t take my word for it

You don’t have to trust me. The conversation about fluoride is happening out in the open now, in places they can’t quietly shut down. A federal judge has even called fluoride a neurotoxin in court. Go read for yourself — start here:

The point is not that every claim in every essay is settled fact. The point is that the questions I asked on my sickbed — what is this, who decided, and who benefits? — are questions with real, documented answers now hiding in plain sight. Take the reins on your own reading, too.

Your healing story belongs to you

Understand what is at stake. This was never just about fluoride. It is about a world that clouds the antenna and then tells you the static is your personality. It is about millions of people walking around with calcified knowing, wondering why they feel disconnected, numb, asleep — and being handed another pill instead of another question.

You are not broken. You are coated. There is a difference, and the difference is hope.

For me, the deeper healing was learning to listen again: to my body, to my intuition, and to the story I had not yet told. That is where my understanding of metaphysical healing begins — in the willingness to pay attention and reclaim your voice.

And if you want the whole story — the tetanus shot, the years of illness, the fast, the jungle, and everything that came after — it is all in my book. Awakening in an Age of Metals is where this journey lives in full. My essays on Substack hold more of it too.

Your body is yours. Your knowing is yours. Your antenna is yours. Take the reins. Begin.
