About Michelle
Story has always been the way forward.
Michelle Katz is a writer, former film and television producer, host of the Broken & Healed podcast, and author of the newly released memoir Awakening in an Age of Metals.
Michelle is a thought leader and a disrupter. Her memoir challenges conventional models of healing and brings the conversation into the 21st century. After sustaining a life-threatening vaccine injury, she was propelled into a 12-year healing journey that reshaped her understanding of the body, truth, what it means to fully reclaim one’s voice, and the long road back to wholeness. Her work explores environmental illness, metaphysical healing, and how ancestral trauma lives in the body — and is transformed through truth and story. Her memoir chronicles this path through chronic illness, spiritual awakening, and the return to self.
She is also the founder of Story Is Medicine, a platform devoted to helping others heal from chronic illness through writing. She lives in the mountains of Idyllwild with her wife Cate and their cat Lou, where she writes, paints, and studies the subtle alchemy of soul healing.

“Our stories matter — and changing the way we understand and tell them can change how we experience ourselves and the world.”
